Tender description

Transport for London (TfL) is considering running a procurement to appoint a property development partner(s) to work with TfL to develop an exemplary, mixed use development around South Kensington station. Refurbishment, full retention and new build opportunities exist across the site, which we estimate will accommodate between 50 000 and 100 000 square feet of commercial and residential floor space. This represents an exciting opportunity to realise the full potential of TfL's existing commercial and residential properties, and deliver new development property around the station. High quality design that is sympathetic to the character of the station and the surrounding area will be essential to release the site's potential. South Kensington is one of the busiest stations in London, used by 30 000 000 passengers per annum. TfL also has plans to deliver a substantial upgrade to station capacity, which will include accessibility and aesthetic improvements. Prior to initiating the procurement, TfL is seeking some initial market feedback from interested parties.
