Refurbishment of Building 114

Tender description

The Health and Safety Laboratory (HSL), which is Britain's leading industrial health and safety facility and supports HSE’s mission to protect people's health and safety by ensuring risks in the changing workplace are properly controlled are inviting tenders for the refurbishment of Building 114 on its Buxton site. The building work involves the provision of a covered escape staircase and associated works including first floor alterations. The building work also includes a major refurbishment of the existing building to provide more appropriate facilities for the laboratory. The electrical work involves an upgrade to the electrical supplies within the building , as well as the entire building rewire. The mechanical work includes an upgrade of the ventilation within the laboratories and other facilities. Tenderers are encouraged to visit the site and ascertain the full extent and character of the work before submitting their Tender. Claims for additional payments arising from lack of local knowledge of conditions will not be met.
