Durants School Southgate Upper Secondary Autism Provision (USAP) at the former Michenden School site

The Authority is seeking expression of interest to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Main Contractor with proven capability for the purpose of Refurbishment and Construction Works. Traditional contract for refurbishment, remodelling including new service installations, the 3 buildings being renovated have a gross internal area 3 072 m² gross internal floor area, the overall site area is 6 880 m² will include associated external works, car parking, access roads, and landscaping. The former Minchenden School is within the curtilage of a Grade II* listed building — Southgate House and close to Southgate Underground and Bus Station. As such any building work required to extend, reconfigure, remodel or refurbish these buildings requires planning consent. Consequently, planning applications for listed building consent under the planning regulations has been submitted and are available for viewing on the Enfield Council Planning Portal (Ref: 16/04677/RE4 & 16/04322/LBC).
