Tender description
A framework agreement that can be used by public sector bodies across the West Midlands Region. The framework will cover all aspects of public sector building/construction activity including, but not limited to, repair and maintenance, refurbishment, adaptations, extensions, new build and infrastructure works. Public bodies that will be able to access the framework include: Local Authorities (County Councils, District Councils, Metropolitan District (Borough or City) Councils, Unitary Authorities), Police Authorities, Fire Authorities, Health Authorities and associated health providers, Educational establishments, Registered Social Landlords, Local Authority regulated companies, Central Government Departments and their agencies and any other public sector body located in the West Midlands Region at any point during the term of the framework. Birmingham City Council may also be acting as a central purchasing body in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2006. Lot 1 — North Birmingham: Legionella Inspection and Servicing Lot 2 — South Birmingham: Legionella Inspection and Servicing. Lot 3 — North Birmingham: Electrical and Mechanical Repair and Maintenance and Minor Works. Lot 4 — South Birmingham: Electrical and Mechanical Repair and Maintenance and Minor Works. Lot 5 — North Birmingham: General Building Repair and Maintenance and Minor Building Works. Lot 6 — South Birmingham: General Building Repair and Maintenance and Minor Building Works. Lot 7 — Capital projects or programmes of work generally exceeding 500 000 GBP in value (no upper value limit). Participating contracting authorities will be offered a range of call-off methods to select from (further information will be provided in the tender documentation). Any works contracts called off under the framework agreement following the tender process will be entered into between the contracting authority and the framework contractor.
