Tender description

The project is concerned with the redevelopment of Corsham Mansion House and comprises the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Mansion House alongside the construction of a new build facility. This will provide a hub for high tech start-up businesses and bring the building back into use as an incubator for start-up businesses focusing on the digital sector. The key points of the project are: — Refurbishment of the internal spaces within the Grade 2 Listed Mansion House. — A new two-storey extension to provide a main entrance and welcome space. — New link bridge between new and existing at ground and first floor. — A new single-storey entrance replacing an existing glazed corridor. — min. of 15-18 flexible business units for 1/2/3 people. — Seminar spaces and meeting rooms for events or external bookings. — Designated parking spaces. — Cycle parking and welfare facilities for cyclists. — Overhaul of the building services (lighting, heating etc.). Following a public consultation, planning & listed building consent was submitted in late November. The estimated completion date of the project is December 2017. A Design Team have been appointed who will take the design up to RIBA Stage 3 prior to formal tender. It is currently envisaged the procurement route will be a two stage Design and Build utilising the latest JCT Design and Build form of Contract. However, this will be confirmed on publication of the contract notice. The requirement is for a Construction Company to be selected, appointed and to enter into contract with Wiltshire Council to work with the council's representatives and the current Project & Design Team. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is not a call for competition for the purposes of Regulation 26(9) of the Public Contracts regulation 2015 — a specific call for competition for this planned procurement is likely be published by means of a contract notice in or around February 2017.
