Bournemouth Borough Council is looking for a supplier for the supply and delivery of Ice Cream products. The supplier will be required to supply and deliver a quality range of competitively priced Ice Cream products to catering outlets on Bournemouth Seafront. Throughout the contract we would want the ability to change products and flavours as new products come into the market, or if demand changes, as well as have the ability to stock different ranges at different sites in order to optimise sales. The Council currently has 13 trading outlets along Bournemouth seafront which the supplier will be required to supply. Some of these sites may move locations along the seafront. The Council may open new sites or close others over the course of the contract. These new sites may not be restricted to the seafront and may be across Bournemouth and neighbouring towns. The current sites can be seen on Maps 1 to 5. The Council also has two more trading outlets that are to be supplied as part of this contract. The Terrace Café that is located in the Town Hall, and a Café that is located in the Bournemouth Learning Centre in Ensbury Park. The tender has been split into two lots. These are: Lot 1 - Impulse Lot 2 –Scoop The approximate value of the contract is estimated to in the region of £1,100,000 over a five-year contract (3 years + 1 year + 1 year) based on historic data. These figures are given for guidance only and the Council does not guarantee that this value of business will be generated during the period of the Contract. In 2015/2016 Seafront Services expenditure on Impulse and Scoop ice creams was £220,000 pa, split into: Lot 1 – Impulse £50,000 pa Lot 2 – Scoop £170,000 pa This demand is not even across the year as indicated in Specification for the Supply and Delivery of Ice Cream Products’ 1.4. Additional sites are currently planned, as well as the upgrading of some of the current sites, we hope that this will increase turnover and therefore increase the level of supply required. Any future changes will depend on funding as well as the profitability of the current sites. Please see: ‘Appendix 2 - Ice Cream Site Location Information’ which details plans that are already in place. Demand for products is not guaranteed as it is dependent on sales. We predict that sales will increase over the coming years so the value of the contract could exceed £1.1 million. Therefore, the contract value on the OJEU Contract Notice has been set at £1.5 million A notice was sent to the European Journal regarding this opportunity on 29/11/2016. Keywords: Bournemouth, Impulse, Scoop, Ice Cream
