Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice and not a call for competition. Galway County Council intends to invite submissions from companies/organisations with expertise and capabilities relating to landfill development works including; landfill cell development (13,500 m2 approx.), placement of Bentonite Enriched Soils (6,750 m3 approx.) and Landfill Capping works (>11 ha). Works are planned to take place on a phased basis over approximately four years with sectional handover of works anticipated. This contract will cover all phases of the proposed works. Works include: Cell Development — Excavation of soils including peat and soft soils — Dewatering — Placement of BES — Placement of HDPE Landfill Lining — Installation of Drainage and associated infrastructure Landfill Capping — Regrading of existing Landfill — Placement of Landfill Capping materials — Sourcing, importation, stockpiling and processing of imported soils — Installation of Landfill Gas Management Infrastructure — Placement of Landfill Cap and Landscaping works Works are planned to take place on a phased basis over approximately four years with sectional handover of works anticipated.
