Hackney New Primary School Temporary Classrooms

Hackney New School opened a new community primary school for boys and girls aged 4-11. The school, Hackney New Primary school, was opened in September 2015 with a published admission number of 50 children in the first Reception year, in two classes of 25 pupils each. Along with mathematics, music is at the heart of the school. Due to a current expansion programme, it is proposed that temporary modular school buildings are provided at a site in the N1 area of the London Borough of Hackney. The proposed modular buildings are to contain a dining hall, an administration block, two Reception Year classrooms, two First Year classrooms, two Second Year classrooms. The site is currently occupied by a council owned building which is in the process of being demolished. The works will include the installation of a hard top play area and safeguarding security fence.
