North Yorkshire County Council wishes to award a contract for Information, Advice and Guidance Services. Information, Advice and Guidance Services in North Yorkshire comprises 2 distinct service areas: — Information and Advice Service — the provision of holistic information and advice service which shall be available to the general population across North Yorkshire; — Welfare Rights Information and Guidance Service — the provision of advice and publications, training and information to front line Advisors in North Yorkshire. The provision of an effective, high quality, value for money, county-wide Information and Advice Service that is responsive to the needs of the North Yorkshire population. The Service shall be able to offer and deliver Information and Advice in the following areas: — Consumer Rights — Discrimination; — Education; — Employment; — Family; — Housing; — Immigration; — Money and Debt; — Taxes; — Welfare Benefits; — Health and Well-being. The provision of an effective, high quality, value for money, county-wide ‘Welfare Rights Information and Guidance Service’. The Service shall be available to advisors within North Yorkshire, including staff from a Local Authority, Information and Advice Services, Housing Association, voluntary sector organisations or any other person within North Yorkshire who as part of their work, or representation of a group, may be required to give advice and information on welfare benefits.
