KMCKNH-034 Framework for the Supply and Installation of Floorcoverings

Tender description

Tenders are invited by the Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the ‘Council’) and Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing (‘KNH’) from Service Providers with the relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for the supply and installation of floorcoverings to the social housing stock and other Council properties on an ad hoc basis (the ‘Services’) under a framework agreement (the ‘Framework Agreement’). It is anticipated that the Framework Agreement will commence on 2nd January 2017 and will expire on 1st January 2019 with provision for two (2) one (1) year extensions. The Council is looking for a maximum of six (6) Service Providers for this Framework Agreement. However, the decision has been taken to NOT break this Service into Lots, as the work will be delivered on an ad hoc basis and such orders may require a number of different floor covering installations to be undertaken in one property at one time. The Council and KNH need to minimise disruption to their tenants, and therefore need Service Providers able to supply and install all variations of the floorcoverings as described in this Framework Agreement are required. It is anticipated that the Services will be delivered to KNH, the Council’s Building Services and Housing Solutions Departments, and from time to time other departments within the Council. The Services required are set out in this Specification and cover the following; Carpet, underlay, gripper and associated products, vinyl, linoleum, stair carpet and sheet floorcovering including installation for KNH, the Council’s Housing Solutions Service and other departments within the Council.
