Tender description

The Authority seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations with experience of delivering employability services to people with multiple barriers to employment. The services are divided into 2 separate lots as below: Lot 1: To provide an outreach service for people who are aged 20+ who are unemployed to complement the young person's outreach work to ensure the engagement of hard to reach people who experience multiple barriers; and Lot 2: To provide employability training for people aged 16+ who are unemployed, to create supported employment opportunities and to employ job coaches to work with clients in their workplaces. Match funding required. The purpose of the project is to engage hard to reach unemployed people aged 20+ who have at least 2 additional barriers to employment and to improve the skills, motivation, confidence and employment opportunities of participants. The outcome is the reduction of barriers to employment resulting in improved access to employment and reduced social isolation, exclusion, poverty and disadvantage of participants. Participants will progress from 1 stage of the Orkney Employability Pipeline to a more advanced stage through the support provided by the service.
