Tender description

Tender to establish a Single-Supplier Framework Agreement for the Provision of Contract Vehicle Hire Services and to establish a Multi-Supplier Framework Agreement for Vehicle Purchase for the Disability Action Transport Service. The vehicle type is a Wheelchair Accessible, 9-seater plus driver, front-entry, high-roof minibus with rear door lift. Contract Hire: Wheelchair Accessible, 9-seater plus driver, front-entry high roof minibuses with rear door lift (inclusive of Service, Maintenance, Repair and Roadside Assistance). Disability Action intends to set up a 4 year single supplier Framework Agreement with the successful Tenderer. Each contract hire agreement will have a 5 year contract term and will only be awarded once there is a call-off from the Framework Agreement and not at the conclusion of the Tender process. As DATS grant funding is renewed annually, Disability Action will be entitled to penalty-free exit from each and any call-off hire contract at the end of each year within the 5 year contract term. It is difficult for Disability Action to predict the exact volume of vehicles required for hire or purchase as this will be based on funding and service requirements which will vary over the term of the Framework Agreement. It is estimated that Disability Action will require the provision of between 12 — 24 vehicles for hire or purchase during the Framework Period. This is purely an indicative figure provided only as a guide and is therefore subject to change. For the avoidance of doubt, Disability Action offers no guarantee that the level of hire or purchase of vehicles will meet or exceed the indicative figures. Purchase: Wheelchair Accessible, 9-seater plus driver, front-entry high roof minibuses with rear door lift (inclusive of Warranty, Service, Maintenance, Repair and Roadside Assistance) The tender will result in a Framework Agreement concluded with a minimum of two and maximum of 3 suppliers who will provide the specified vehicle(s) for purchase if awarded a call-off agreement. It is anticipated that Disability Action may order one or more vehicles at a time.
