Overhaul and refurbishment work

Tender description

The LGA invites Tenders for the provision of Conference and Office Cat A and Cat B Accommodation — Local Government House Refurbishment at Local Government House, Smith Square, London, SW1P 3HZ. It is proposed that the project will deliver: — A refurbished conference suite suitable for internal events and commercial hiring, to Cat B; — Maximum of 3 floors of office accommodation for the LGA and its core partners, to Cat B; — A further 3 floors released for high quality commercial letting, to Cat A; — Floors 7 and 8 retained for membership events and meetings but with the flexibility to release floor 7 for external letting at a later stage if required, to Cat B; — Refurbished kitchen and toilet facilities; — Formal and informal meeting spaces; — Mechanical and electrical upgrades and modernization; — It is anticipated that the building will be fully decanted for the duration of the contract; — Strip out works to be let as part of the PCSA.
