Hire of passenger transport vehicles with driver

Liverpool City Council (LCC) has a statutory duty to provide transport services for approximately 1821 eligible children, young people and adults as part of its home-to-school-transport service and adult social care services. The total of all contracts consists of about 576 routes within Liverpool and the Merseyside area in private hire & hackney taxis, MPV's and minibuses. This contract also includes officer and general ad hoc travel. We have scheduled a supplier information workshop to inform potential bidders interested in passenger transport contracts about the process and to provide some assistance in the steps required to bid. The event will be held on Wednesday 2.11.2016 at 10:00 and will last approximately 90 minutes, at the conference centre LACE, Croxteth Drive, Sefton Park Liverpool 17 1AA, If you would like to attend please confirm attendance via the chest, no later than close of business on Tuesday 1.11.2016. A Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) will be created following completion of the PQQ process and candidates accepted onto the new DPS will be eligible to tender for SEN, social inclusion and adult's social care transport contracts. The DPS will allow the new contractors to be accepted onto it at specified quarterly intervals throughout its lifespan, the precise dates of which will be confirmed at the date the DPS is procured.The provision of home to school and social care transport is of high importance to the Council. The service supports the educational development of the learners, many of whom are amongst the most vulnerable members of the local community. Service quality, along with high standards of care and safeguarding are therefore paramount. The DPS will remain in place for a period of 4 years, with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
