Tender description

Medway Council wishes to select and appoint a suitable and experienced Contractor to undertake repair and refurbishment works to a listed/heritage property and therefore invites contractors to submit a quotation to meet the Council's requirements set out in this Invitation to Quote (ITQ). It's the council's intention to award all works to one Principal contractor. The Contract is anticipated to commence on w/c 25th November 2016 and will continue for an estimated period 13 weeks with no option to extend unless this timeframe is deemed unachievable by the tendering contractors, or is terminated by the employer in accordance with the Conditions of the Contract. Scope Precise: 1) Resin repair the oak beam and swan-neck, lead flash and redecorate. 2) Dismantle drum clock and issue to replica manufacturers. 3) Sub-contract GRP replica clock manufacture. 4) Resin repair, heritage paint and gild existing timber festoon. 5) Install new GRP clock to and top with restored festoon.
