The framework is also open to: Thames Valley Police http://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/ Estates Design and Technical Services (EDTS) as part of Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is working collaboratively with its key public sector clients, with the objective of implementing a Construction Framework. The Trust is seeking to enter into a framework agreement with suitable qualified principal construction contractors to form the basis for the provision of call-off services for future capital development programme projects. It is envisaged that the Framework Agreement will become the vehicle through which a large proportion of works are procured. The framework agreement will be of 3 years duration, and be for the benefit of EDTS and its parent organisation BHFT. For information BHFT's capital programme is in the region of £650,000 in the current fiscal period, which provides an estimate of the volume of work to be undertaken. Furthermore, Thames Valley Police (TVP) intend to let a portion of their £1.5M capital budget via the framework, but may chose other procurement routes. The majority of the works will be refurbishment and/or alterations to existing facilities, with some fitting out of empty space and new build. It is anticipated that around half of the works will involve medical systems and many will involve working in or close to active medical facilities or areas where disruption will need to be minimised.
