Tender description

Milton Keynes Council is seeking tenders from experienced transport operators for the provision of local bus services and shared taxis serving various parts of Milton Keynes. The services are being tendered in 31 Lots. Lot 1 comprises Service 1 operating between Bletchley and Newport Pagnell via Central Milton Keynes. Every 60 minutes Monday to Saturday evenings except Public Holidays. Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats. Lot 2 comprises Service 2 operating between Newport Pagnell and Westcroft via Central Milton Keynes. Timetable Requirement: Every 60 minutes Sundays and Public Holidays. Vehicle Requirement: Minimum capacity: 27 seats. Lot 3 comprises service number 8 operating between Central Milton Keynes and Walnut Tree via Kingston. Two return evening journeys every 60 minutes Sundays and Public Holidays. Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats. Lot 4 comprises Service no. 9 between Bletchley and Kingston via Walnut Tree. Every 60 minutes Monday to Saturday except Public Holidays Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats. If Lot 4 is awarded Lot 14 will not be awarded. Lot 5 comprises service number 14 between Central Milton Keynes and Wolverton via Two Mile Ash and Greenlays Every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday evenings except Public Holidays. Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats. Lot 6 comprises of service number 14 operating between Central Milton Keynes and Wolverton via Two Mile Ash and Greenleys Every 30 minutes Sundays and Public Holidays. Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats. Lot 7 comprises of service number 17 operating between Bletchley and Kingston via Bow Brickhill and Woburn Sands. Three off peak return journeys Monday to Saturday except Public Holidays providing shopping/leisure trips to Kingston District Centre and Bletchley. Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats. If Lot 7 is awarded Lot 9 will not be awarded. Lot 8 comprises of service number 18/18A operating between Bletchley and Bradville via Woughton on the Green and Central Milton Keynes Peak journeys to be extended from/to Bletchley to/from Kingston District Centre via Woburn Sands Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats. Lot 9 comprises service number 20 between Central Milton Keynes and Kingston via Bletchley, Little Brickhill, Bow Brickhill and Woburn Sands. Three off peak return journeys Monday to Saturday except Public Holidays providing shopping/leisure trips to Kingston District Centre and Bletchley. Vehicle Minimum Capacity: 27 seats If lot 9 is awarded lot 7 will not be awarded. Lot 10 comprises of service number 21 operating between Central Milton Keynes and Lavendon via Newport Pagnell and Olney One early morning and two early evening return journeys Monday to Friday except Public Holidays, hourly Saturday. On schooldays certain journeys operate to/from Willen local centre from Overstreet via Dansteed Way, Brickhill Street, Granville Square, Dansteed Way, Overstreet, and certain journeys terminate at Aspreys, Olney Vehicle Minimum capacity: 40 seats. Lot 11 comprises service number 23 operating between Central Rail Station and Wolverton via Central Milton Keynes and Great Linford Wolverton Church Street to Gloucester Road hourly off peak Monday to Friday except Public Holidays. Central Rail Station or Central Milton Keynes to Wolverton Church Street or Gloucester Road three return journeys complimenting the commercial service Monday to Friday except Public Holidays. Central Rail Station or Central Milton Keynes to Wolverton Church Street or Gloucester Road hourly Saturday. Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats. Lot 12 comprises of service number 24 Bletchley — OU — Kingston — Newport Pagnell — CMK — Westcroft — Bletchley and Service number 25 Bletchley — Westcroft — CMK — Newport Pagnell — Kingston — OU — Bletchley Hourly Monday to Saturday except Public Holidays. Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats If lot 12 is awarded lots 13, 14, and 15 will not be awarded. Lot 13 comprises of service number 25 operating between Westcroft District Centre and Bletchley via Tattenhoe Hourly Monday to Saturday except Public Holidays. Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats. If lot 13 is awarded lots 12 and 14 will not be awarded. Lot 14 comprises of service number 26 operating between Kingston and Westcroft via Bletchley and Walnut Tree Hourly Monday to Saturday except Public Holidays. Vehicle Minimum capacity: 32 seats. If lot 14 is awarded lots 4, 12 and 13 will not be awarded. Lot 15 comprises of service number 27 operating between Central Milton Keynes and Milton Keynes Hospital via Newport Pagnell Hourly Monday to Saturday except Public Holidays Vehicle Minimum capacity: 27 seats. Lot 16 comprises of service number 28 operating between Westcroft and Bletchley via Shenley Wood and Central Milton Keynes Hourly Monday to Saturday except Public Holidays Vehicle Minimum capacity: 32 seats. Lot 17 comprises of service number 30/31 between Bletchley and Newport Pagnell via Stony Stratford and Wolverton Irregular Monday to Friday except Public Holidays. Vehicle Minimum capacity: 36 seats. If lot 17 is awarded lot 18 will not be awarded. Lot 19 comprises of service number 33, 33A operating between Central Milton Keynes and Northampton via Wolverton, Hanslope and Roade Hourly Monday to Saturday except Public Holidays. Lot 20 comprises of service number 35 operating between Central Milton Keynes and Bedford via Newport Pagnell, Sherington, Astwood and Bromham Minimum every two hours Monday to Saturday except Public Holidays. Lot 26 comprises of service number 43 operating between central Milton Keynes and Oxley Park via Westcroft Every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime except Public Holidays, every 60 minutes Monday to Saturday evenings Sundays and Public Holidays. Vehicle Minimum Capacity: 27 seats. Lot 27 comprises of service number 44 operating between central Milton Keynes and Tattenhoe Park via Westcroft Every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime except Public Holidays, every 60 minutes Monday to Saturday evenings Sundays and Public Holidays Vehicle Minimum Capacity: 27 seats. Lot 28 comprises of service number 80 operating between Stony Stratford and Central Milton Keynes One return journey Fridays except Public Holidays providing a stay of approximately 2 ½ hours in Central Milton Keynes. Vehicle Minimum Capacity: 25 seats. Lot 29 comprises of service number 621 operating between Olney and Newport Pagnell One morning journey Schooldays. Ousedale session times: 8:45 to 15:05. Vehicle Minimum Capacity: 36 seats. Lot 30 comprises of Haversham village and Little Linford shared taxi. Pre booked shared taxi service providing a link from settlements at Haversham village and Little Linford to Newport Pagnell Market Hill or Wolverton Church Street. This service is suitable for operation by licensed Hackney Carriage or licensed private hire car. Vehicle: 4 seats licensed Hackney Carriage or Licensed Private Hire car and must be no more than 8 years old at any time during the life of the contract. Pre booked shared taxi service providing a link from settlements at Newton Blossomville and Clifton Reynes to Olney Market Place. This service is suitable for operation by Licensed Hackney Carriage or Licensed private hire car. Maximum of one pre booked return journey Monday to Friday except Public Holidays providing a stay of approximately 90 minutes in Olney. Vehicle Requirement: 4 seats licensed Hackney Carriage or Licensed Private Hire car and must be no more than 8 years old at any time during the life of the contract.
