Refurbishment Project - Kenton Library

Tender description

Harrow Council is seeking a contractor to carry out the redesign & refurbishment of Kenton Library which is located on Kenton Lane. The contractor will be required to: - Work with the project team comprising of Harrow Council staff and Carillion staff, and - Report to the Library Strategy Project Board for any approvals. - Design the library space including any external treatments, and interior public areas. This is to include the incorporation of the brand design in use at Stanmore Library including appropriate colour schemes/combinations/palette to create a new look and feel for Kenton Library that can be applied internally and externally including signage and brand name for the library. - Employ Carillion Integrated Services as a sub-contractor to arrange for the removal, storage, and re-shelving of library stock to enable the refurbishment to be completed. To include the temporary relocation of self-service kiosks and workstations. - Understand the customers’ needs from the consultation data collated to provide guidance for the design. - Deliver the refurbishment including building works, coordination of other elements not part of this brief (e.g. lighting replacement), redecoration, flooring, shelving, new (or re-used) furniture, M&E including data/comms, after appropriate listed building consent and necessary permissions have been confirmed by Harrow Council’s Conservation Officer and Estates Department . - Project management to ensure all elements are cohesive and delivered on time and to budget For further information please register your interest in this project on the London Tenders Portal.
