Refurbishment of Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre

Fusion Lifestyle is working as a Leisure Operator for Southend-on-Sea Borough Council and requires a main contractor to carry out the refurbishment of the existing Leisure Centre comprising works to the first floor gym, cafeteria and existing toilets(to create a new fitness suite) dry changing, corridors, showers and toilet areas and refurbishment of the existing second floor studio. The refurbishment works mainly comprise new floor, wall and ceiling finishes, redecoration works together with new sanitary appliances and fittings and alterations and extending the existing mechanical and electrical installations and upgrade of the AHU installation. We will require suitable contractors with experience in the following: i) Experience of working in Leisure environment; ii) Experiences of working in Leisure operators; iii) Experiences of working in “Live sites” with members of the public in close proximity to the works; The tender documents include a Suitability Questionnaire containing a number of Pass / Fail elements. These sections include elements of financial standing, insurance and contract specific questions. The contract specific questions will be used to select the Tenderers that have their Price and Quality Submissions evaluated. Any Tenderer who scores less than 60% on the contract specific questions will not have their Price and Quality Submissions evaluated. Further details on the Pass / Fail elements are included in the Tender Documents. The evaluation of the award criteria will be considered against an evaluation ratio of 70% for price and 30% for quality. The contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. The deadline for receipt by of expressions of interest in order to access the documents is: Noon Tuesday 18th October 2016. The deadline for receipt of clarification requests relating to the procurement is Noon Monday 24th October 2016.
