Tender description
Design and Construction of an opening Cycleway and Pedestrian Bridge over a tidal estuary. The contract is for design and build of the bridge and will comprise: 1) Design Competition: 5 short listed contractors will be invited to provide an outline design. A winning design will be selected to take forward to detail design, then construction. The other 4 short listed contractors will be paid a stipend of 10 000 GBP for providing competing designs. 2) Construction: Construction of the bridge. Open book accounting will be used with a target price of 4 000 000 GBP. The target price includes the design fees. 3) Maintenance: 30 maintenance of the bridge.
