Tender description

Improvement of M4 Junction 16. The work consists of: Creating a right hand turn for Swindon traffic turning onto Hays Lane using one signalised junction. Constructing a new signalised junction for traffic joining Hay Lane from J16. Widening the M4 westbound and eastbound off-slip to four lanes. Widening the circulation carriageway on the Great Western Way approach, and suitable modifications to all other junction approaches. Modifying and relocating road signage, road markings and surface water drainage systems to suit the final carriageway location and configuration. The contract is expected to take 3 years including the construction and maintenance period.
