Locksbrook Road Modular building

Tender description

This appointment is for the final design, manufacture and installation of the two storey modular buildings. The design specification and details are within volume 9 of the tender pack. Bath and North East Somerset Council are looking to purchase the building and works will be commissioned by the principal contractor (tbc). We envisage the appointment to be split in 2 stages: the first stage via B&NES for design (including Building control and Planning Guidance) and the second stage via the main contractor for manufacture and installation. Project Background: The proposed development is to establish a depot for the applicants Outer Bath Street Cleansing operations; having firstly considered a site on Station Road (Bath) an alternative site on Locksbrook Road (Bath) is now being considered. It is assumed that the site would include the same internal detail as proposed for the Station Road depot, which comprised: • Two modular office buildings comprising an office and staff welfare facility; • Parking depot for fleet of street cleansing vehicles and staff vehicles; • Wash down area; • Street sweeping storage bay; • Secure Storage Container; and Security Fencing/lighting please see tender docs for further information.
