Tender description

Who Speclialist Work With The Business Analyst will work primarily as part of a cross-functional agile delivery team - Product owner, Delivery Manager, Service Design, User Researcher. Other collaborators include BEIS Digital management. What Specialists Work On The service mapping team is conducting a mapping of all services within the BEIS landscape, including within partner organisations, in order to inform decisions on transformation. We're looking for a BA who can work with BEIS HQ and BEIS partners to achieve a deep understanding of their user-facing and internal services. This will involve working with those operating the processes and also managers and senior stakeholders - to identify service users, map the different stages in a services journey / processes, quantify the resources and time of each stage, and understand where the costs in each service are. Where the Work Takes Place Department for Business, Innovation & Skills, 1 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0ET. There may be some need to travel to location within and outside London. Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements Monday to Friday. A professional working day, hours and working pattern are needed to deliver the service efficiently. Security Clearance Minimum Baseline Personnel Security Standard Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Have 1+ year’s prior experience of mapping or modelling existing business processes Be experienced in working in agile environments with sprint targets set and reviewed on a weekly basis, managed by an in-house product manager and delivery manager Be able to use and have had experience using common business centric process mapping techniques and languages Be able to use and have had experience using common customer centric approaches to mapping customer journeys Be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to elicit the necessary information from interviewees to understand the wider context to make educated guesses where the information is not present Have the people skills to work with senior stakeholders to secure access to interviewees in their working environment; and with front line staff handling operational delivery of services Nice to Haves Prior experience working in a government setting Experience working with service designers and user researchers Comfortable working with Google Docs + Excel No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria Work well in a collaborative agile team Demonstrate courage (e.g. can express controversial views, confront reality, make tough decisions, question actions inconsistent with group behaviours, candid about progress/estimates) Demonstrate vulnerability (e.g. declare uncertainty, fear, recognise mistakes, apologise, acknowledge weaknesses) Demonstrate responsibility (e.g. act like a leader, serve your team, provide solutions to problems, engage in external/internal environments, seek the best for the organisation beyond your team) Demonstrate simplicity (e.g. take simple steps to goals, do less but better, mitigate failures, talk straight with respect) Demonstrate excellence (e.g. seek actionable feedback, set challenging targets, know users, deliver cost effective high level customer satisfaction) Demonstrate enthusiasm (e.g. bring whole self to work, celebrate success, share passion and energy with others, optimistic) Assessment Method Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 60% Cultural fit 20% Price 20% Questions from Suppliers No questions have been answered yet Budget range £650.00
