Tender description

This notice is for Prior Information Only and is used to invite organisations to attend a Market Engagement Event prior to commencement of a procurement process. Dorset Travel, (Dorset County Council's management service for Transport) will present the proposed delivery and contract models to meet the Councils Transport requirements. All organisations involved in the provision of passenger transport are invited to attend the market engagement event to gain an awareness of the proposed models and to provide observations. Further details of the event and how to receive an invitation are provided in part VI.3) of this notice. By the end of 2016 Dorset County Council, will commence an open procurement process for various passenger Transport services, to begin delivery of services from May through September 2017. The type of service required include commissioned Public Transport, routine home to school transport, special education needs transport and reactive transport provision as required by the Council. The estimated combined value of all transport provision is 15 000 000 GBP. Dorset Travel, (Dorset County Council management service for Transport) has developed a proposed delivery model for the holistic delivery of all the Councils passenger transport requirements that contribute to the stated objectives of Dorset County Council.
