Five NEUPC member institutions in the North-East of England are seeking to establish a Framework Agreement for Major Works Construction Contractors. This collaboration between Newcastle, Durham, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside Universities shall facilitate works over the value of 4 104 394 GBP (OEJU Threshold). The tender for this framework will be based on a specific project — a new Sports Center at Newcastle University A supplier engagement event is to be held at 10:00 on Friday 7.10.2016, in The Core, Science Central, Bath Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 5TF. Members of the NEUPC, Newcastle University and the Sports Centre project team will be in attendance to present the scheme and answer any queries you may have. Suppliers interested in Tendering for the Framework Agreement are advised to attend the event. Intention to attend should be sent via email to g.barnes@leeds.ac.uk This PIN is to raise awareness of the supplier event associated with the forthcoming procurement and shall not form part of the competition itself. The Major Construction Framework agreement shall encompass construction activities for the five member institutions of the NEUPC that are based in the North East of England, namely Newcastle, Durham, Sunderland, Northumbria, and Teesside Universities. Projects will be varied in nature but focus predominantly on Higher Education environments. The first of these projects will be a new Sports Centre at Newcastle University that shall be tendered as part of the formation of the Framework Agreement. Length of agreement is likely to be 6 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
