PQQ CONSOLIDATION AND REPAIR WORKS AT LANDGUARD FORT

Tender description

This contract is to undertake works at Landguard Fort. The works to the site are to take place over the 2016-17 financial year and are to finish before the 31st March 2017. The project is to remedy the water ingress to the Casemate Battery at Landguard Fort, where water is entering the brick vaulted 2 storey Casemate Battery building works include: repairing/replacing asphalt, repointing walkways and general consolidation of areas. Within the ground floor of the Casement battery there is a corner of corridor (brick structure with cement render covering) which is to be re-built to rectify structural issues here. As well as the Casement battery there is a Fire command post that was built on the structure around the time of the 1st World War which has been damaged by water ingress and needs structural repair. The tender process is a two stage tender. This first stage forms the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire from which a tender list will be compiled that will consist of between 4-6 contractors. The second stage will invite the 4-6 successful contractors to tender for the project.
