Tender description

Portsmouth City Council (the ‘Authority’) invited tenders from organisations for the provision of fourteen regulated registered local bus services in the Portsmouth area. In view of affordability and service criticality considerations the following services have been awarded by the Authority: — 16 Option 1 Sundays & BH; — 22 Option B Monday — Saturday Daytime; — 22 Option D Sundays & Bank Holidays; — 19/19A revised cost for Mondays to Fridays only. The above contracts amount to a total annual cost of 107 333.53 GBP. The contracts were awarded on 16.2.2016 and services commenced 27.3.2016. Contracts will run for an initial term of 1 year and, subject to budget review, performance and continued uptake individual contracts may be extended in yearly increments to a maximum total term of 3 years. This Lot was for Service number 16 with reference PTB 15 16 Option 1 and 2. Option 1 only was awarded at a cost of 8 600 GBP per annum and commenced on 27.3.2016. The contract will run for an initial term of 1 year and, subject to budget review, performance and continued uptake individual contracts may be extended in yearly increments to a maximum total term of 3 years. This Lot was for Service number 19 with reference PTB 15 19. A 19/19A service was awarded for Monday to Fridays only at a cost of 56 083.53 GBP per annum and commenced on 27.3.2016. The contract will run for an initial term of 1 year and, subject to budget review, performance and continued uptake individual contracts may be extended in yearly increments to a maximum total term of 3 years. This Lot was for Service number 22 Monday to Saturday and Sunday with reference PTD 15 22 Mon to Sat and Sun. Four sub-options were available for tendered pricing with A and B options for service operation Mondays to Saturdays and options C and D for service operation Sunday and Bank Holidays. Of these options, contracts were awarded for Options B and D only to cover full week operation. The contract for Option B was awarded at a cost of 35 090 GBP per annum and the contract for Option D was awarded at a cost of 7 560 GBP per annum. Both contracts commenced on 27.3.2016 and will run for an initial term of 1 year and, subject to budget review, performance and continued uptake individual contracts may be extended in yearly increments to a maximum total term of 3 years.
