Origin of project: Built approximately 60-70 years ago, these blocks of medium rise flats set in their own un-bordered grounds have limited security i.e. no locked communal entrances, access controls, perimeter fencing or CCTV and suffer from anti-social behaviour caused by non-residents. Improving security is a high profile issue for everyone on these estates (residents, Tenancy Management team, Police, Councillors etc) and Hillingdon wishes to increase security for these blocks to deter anti-social behaviour and make minor improvements to security as requested by residents. Hillingdon also wishes to carry out security and refuse storage refurbishment works to the various sites as identified and recorded in the Schedule of Works. The works are to provide new communal doors, video entry phones, fencing, gating, lighting & refuse storage improvements. Location: Various as follows: • 1 - 16 Moston Close, Hayes, UB3 4LP, • 9 – 24 Hoskins Close, Hayes, UB3 4LR, • 2 – 32 St. Dunstans Close, Hayes, UB3 4LJ, • 127 - 157 (odds), Cranford Drive, Hayes, UB3 4LG, • 1-12 Dickens House, Croyde Avenue, Hayes, UB3 4ER • Car-park adjacent 24-34 Phelps Way Hayes, UB3 4LH. Length of contract: The works duration is anticipated to be in the region of 12 weeks on site carried out in one continuous phase.
