Tender description
The strategic requirement of Education was for the school to expand from a five class school to a 7 class school for 210 pupils. A double temporary building for the Foundation Stage was installed in summer 2015 as the first phase of the expansion. The second phase is now required to accommodate children being generated from housing development in the area. A two classroom general teaching block for KS2 in permanent build is to be provided on site. It will be freestanding and in preferred location of the school so that pupils can easily access the rest of the school, are safe and supervised. It is also in close proximity to the pupil entrance to the school. Planning consent was granted on 23 June 2016. Discharging any planning conditions will form part of the contractor’s duties.
