Tender description

CONTRACT-A9CC-KX0V70. Barts Health NHS Trust is a major provider of hospital services for London and nationally for a wide variety of specialised and tertiary services. It is the largest NHS Trust in England and operates from 5 hospitals in East London. In 2014/15 it had an annual turnover of 1 300 000 000 GBP and employs 15 000 staff. The Trust intends to establish a comprehensive patient transport related services framework agreement to be used by the North East London Sustainability and Transformation Plan. Currently Authorities operate their patient transport related services (the ‘Services’) through a number of third party Service Providers. The Authorities are seeking through this framework agreement to improve the value for money, quality, flexibility and sustainability of these Services and are therefore seeking expressions of interest from Service Providers who have a proven track record in managing the following Services (inter alia): — Central transport call-centre (covering help desk and patient eligibility assessment); — Non-emergency patient transport services (excluding renal); — Dedicated renal services; — Other specialised transport services (i.e. high dependency ambulance services and secure transport). Please note: The above list is not exhaustive and the agreement will cover all patient transport related services. Services to be delivered in accordance with specified standards, and, managed under a formal performance regime. The requirement will include continuous service improvement, by the provider and the achievement of regular efficiency gains both in terms of cost and performance.
