Lower High Street Pocket Parks

Tender description

Cheltenham Borough Council is creating two Pocket Parks in Cheltenham town centre. This project is to appoint a contractor to deliver the groundworks and surfacing and install street furniture. The Works include site clearance, excavation, adjustment to kerblines, resurfacing and installation of street furniture. It is recommended that tenderers visit Cheltenham town centre to be fully aware of the proposed locations and conditions. Alternative construction to that specified, that does not change the intended appearance of the pocket parks, will be considered but will require full client approval. The conditions of contract will be the NEC3 ‘Engineering and Construction Short Contract’ (ECSC2) as published for the Institution of Civil Engineers by Thomas Telford in June 2005 and amended September 2011. In accordance with The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 the Employer will be the Client and Principal Designer, and the Contractor will carry out the role of Principal Contractor.
