Leicester City Council invites Tenders for the provision of various adaptation works, examples of which include: installation of ramps and handrails, lowering of light switches, widening of doorways, adjustment of taps and raising of beds and chairs. This opportunity seeks Suppliers to deliver high volume of relatively small value jobs (up to a maximum of £1,000.00 per job, however, majority being considerably smaller); often within a short timescale, e.g. to enable hospital discharges. It is therefore most suited for smaller, locally based businesses. ***PLEASE NOTE: There will be another similar contract advertised later this year for works exceeding £1,000.*** The Authority wishes to form a framework agreement with multiple suppliers as follows: 1. General building 3 Suppliers 2. Joinery/carpentry 3 Suppliers 3. Plumbing 2 Suppliers 4. Electrical 2 Suppliers PLEASE STIPULATE THE LOT APPLIED FOR ON YOUR TENDER RESPONSE DOCUMENT. The proposed Framework Agreement contract will be for the initial period of two years with an option to extend for further period(s) up to two years.
