Tender description
Highways England has a requirement to deliver construction works to maintain, repair and renew the Strategic Road Network (SRN) within Highways England Areas 13 and 14. Construction Works Framework (CWF) will be made up of a number of different contractors from different specialist areas who will work together to deliver network improvements and maintenance schemes within Area 13 and 14. The framework will cover but not limited to: — Civil Engineering Works including earthworks, fencing, landscaping, road restraints, drainage and ducts, kerbs, foot-ways, paved areas, traffic signs and markings, road lighting and electrical work for lighting, structures; — Piling and retention walls and structural concrete, waterproofing, painting and any other similar duties. The CWF will have 11 lots which will represent each of the specialist areas required to successfully deliver the works. The Lots specialist areas are detailed further within Annex B. Over the 4 year period the likely maximum expenditure for the Framework is specified in II.1.4) The estimated maximum annual expenditure for each of the Lots is specified within Annex B; however, this is an estimated figure and no commitment is given to any expenditure or to the value of any individual Task Order. An applicant company can tender for up to 3 Lots in Area 13 and 3 Lots in Area 14. Where an applicant company tenders for a combined Lot this will be classed as tendering for 1 Lot per Area. The process is being constructed by Highways England as the Government owned Company responsible for the SRN.
