Tender description

The Royal Parks are seeking an experienced contractor to undertake repairs to 2no. public footbridges providing access over the boating lake in Regents Park London. The enabling works will involve providing a suitable protection system to prevent all contaminates throughout all stages of the work from entering the lake and removal of all timber decking and timber bearers below. The repairs will involve cutting out and piecing-in new steel where there is section loss or corrosion of the steel structures. Preparation and redecoration of the steel bridge primary structure and repairs and redecoration of the hardwood balustrade handrails. Replacement of all decking planks with non-slip surface finish and suitable fixing bolts.
