Southwark Primary Free School – Fit-out scheme for permanent accommodation for a 2FE primary school.

Tender description

The Education Funding Agency requires a suitably experienced Contractor to express their interest to tender for the fit-out, of a two-storey shell and core of a larger residential development to be used as a primary school. The Contractor will be procured on a full design and build basis for the works of a permanent accommodation facility comprising of classrooms, a kitchen, offices, hall, Multi-Use Games Area and outdoor spaces, all approx.. 2195 m2. The target construction programme runs from January 2017 to December 2017, for handover mid-August 2017 enabling the school to decant from their temporary location and install ICT and loose FF&E ahead of the September 2017 start date. The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the following split: qualitative assessment (60%) / quantitative assessment (40%).
