Peterborough City Council (the ‘Authority’) wishes to alert the construction contractors' market of a future framework opportunity. The Peterborough City Council (PCC) Construction Framework will be seeking suitably experienced Contractors who can deliver construction Works for a wide range of residential, commercial, educational, leisure and regeneration developments in and around Peterborough. This PCC Construction Framework will be utilised and owned by Peterborough City Council will run for 4 years. The PCC Construction Framework will be divided into 3 Lots and the Authority hopes that Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and large construction contractor organisations will respond to this opportunity. The Authority is leading the way in the public sector procurement in offering opportunities for SME Contractors to deliver Works. It is expected the PCC Construction Framework will provide an excellent opening for SME Contractors in the delivery of Works in Peterborough. Key Drivers and Objectives: The objectives of the project can be summarized in the following key area: — Providing an OJEU compliant construction framework that fulfils Peterborough City Council's objectives to allow SME Contractors as well as larger Contractors an opportunity to tender for Works for the council; — Deliver value for money and competitive programmes for the council; — Provide other public bodies an opportunity to access SME and larger Contractors especially with new Public Contracts Regulations that are now in place.
