Tender description

Invest NI wishes to appoint a Contractor to deliver the Leadership Coaching Service element of the Invest NI Leader Programme. The Invest NI Leader Programme was conceived and introduced in 2012 as an Invest NI intervention specifically aimed at Managing Directors/CEO's/Owner-Managers of SME's. The programme aims to improve productivity through the development of leadership capabilities and is aimed specifically at reducing the productivity gap between NI and better performing regions within GB. The programme is now an established part of the Invest NI Skills and Strategy Division offering and sits alongside the Leadership Team Programme, as part of Invest NI's Leadership and Management Support Framework. It takes the form of a nine month programme of blended support tailored to the needs of the participant, incorporating three key elements, as follows: — Business mentoring — direct one to one support from experienced business mentors who provide the business leaders with a challenge function and a strategic focus; — Executive leadership coaching — direct one to one coaching support focused on strengthening the participant's leadership characteristics and attributes delivered by accredited coaches; — Peer Networking — business to business learning through informal sessions amongst business leaders and access to best practice facilitated by Invest NI. The firm focus of the Invest NI Leader Programme is ultimately to achieve business growth through the support provided. The mentoring, coaching and peer networking elements are designed to complement each other, acting as key catalysts for the participant business leaders, with the ultimate goal of assisting them to identify how to plan for the future growth of their business. The Programme's adaptive and flexible delivery model, which is very much tailored to the needs of individual participant business leaders, has been proven to be the Leader's Programme's strength. A formal Evaluation and Economic Appraisal were completed in 2015 with a positive conclusion in terms of the impact of the Leader Programme in helping generate higher levels of productivity for participating SME'S, through more effective, strategic Leadership. A total of 68 companies (76 participant business leaders) have taken part in the programme to date.
