Tender description
The Isle of Wight Council invites Tenders from suitably qualified providers for the provision of a new pedestrian bridge at Shanklin Cliff Lift. The project will involve the installation of a new pedestrian walkway connecting the existing two car lift tower and cliff top within the Conservation area located along the Esplanade, Shanklin, Isle of Wight. The work also includes the associated external works along the cliff top incorporating level changes and threshold construction. The contract will be let under JCT Design and Build Contract 2011 terms and conditions. The contractor will be responsible for and should allow in their pricing for all necessary detailed site investigations, structural designs, planning consents and construction. The closing date for receipt of Tenders is 14:00Hrs on 27 May 2016.
