Tender description

Notification of award of the following: Thames Water wishes to award Framework Agreement(s) for a plant hire supplier(s) to provide an integrated managed service to procure and manage its short and long term plant hire requirements for both operated and non-operated plant directly or on behalf of its contractors. The typical equipment will include but not be exclusive to: Pumps including electrical submersible pumps, diesel, electric or hydraulic driven pumps being for sewage or drainage submersible or non submersible; open set, silent or super silent in the range 2 inch to 12 inch including all accessories. Generators including the range from 20 kVA to 1 625 kVA, accessories including fuel tanks and cables, fuel management and technical support. Other tools including hand tools, metal storage containers, chemical storage tanks, access towers, tele-handlers, portable air conditioners, small generators, portable loos, portable heaters, portable dehumidifiers, temporary fencing and technical support. In addition the managed service must be capable of arranging plant hire through its own contracts and Thames water's existing Framework Agreements for Plant Hire. The managed service will require the establishment of a dedicated plant hire service desk that could be located internally at the service provider or embedded in Thames Water at an appropriately selected site.
