This is the contract award notice for the following contract: Scottish Canals is looking to create a Framework Agreement with a number of appointed contractors to cover a range of Civil Engineering works for the entire Scottish Canals network. The framework will be designed to allow both the use of direct award call-off and mini-competition as determined by the specific project requirements. The type of areas covered by the works involved may include bridges, culverts, retaining walls, reservoirs, towpaths, buildings, embankments, and cuttings. This list is not exhaustive and does not identify any potential split of the works involved. Call-offs and mini-competitions may include a number of works from different disciplines and will be dependent on the specific needs of each individual project requirement. The estimated total value of the Framework Agreement over the entire contract period is made up of historical spend, planned projects and the aspirational ambitions of Scottish Canals. Some of the works that are included in the value of this Framework are dependent on securing the necessary funding. As such there is no guarantee that the overall value of the Framework Agreement will reach this level or if the work will be equally split across the length of the contract, a particular type of work, or any specific geographic area.
