Tender description

The City of Edinburgh Council are seeking to appoint a Framework of suitably qualified contractors to carry out works on behalf of Services for Communities, Housing Asset Management Department. This Housing Asset Management Framework will consist of the following 13 Lots, please see specific Lot details which outlines the scope of works and spend profiles. Lot 1 — Electrical Rewiring, Refits, Smoke Detectors and associated works Lot 2 — General Fabric Repairs & Improvements, less than 1m Lot 3 — General Fabric Repairs & Improvements, greater than 1m Lot 4 — Windows & Doors, Supply & Install Lot 5 — Kitchens & Bathrooms, Supply & Install Lot 6 — Lift Replacement, Refurbishment and Upgrading Works Lot 7 — Mechanical Installations & Upgrades Lot 8 — Door Entry Installations and Upgrading Works Lot 9 — Painting, Decorating & Associated Preparation Works, Internal & External Lot 10 — Adaptations — Ramp Installations for Disabled Access Lot 11 — Distribution Pipework Removal and Replacement Lot 12 — Demolition — City Wide Lot 13 — Energy Efficiency Installations We anticipate the combined spend on this framework to be approx 72 000 000. Contracts for work will be let under the Framework by means of competitively tendering each works package to all those tenderers who are selected onto the framework, however, the Council will offer works if it is in the Council's best interests; or in circumstances of extreme urgency (up to the value established within the individual PQQ for each Lot) to the highest ranking Framework Contractor as established during the tender evaluation process.
