Tender description

A contractor has been appointed to replace the existing door sets in the corridors and to the staircases with new door sets and ironmongery which meet current legislation in respect of fire and disabled access. The work summarised as follows: - Commission and undertake a Refurbishment Asbestos Survey. - Remove existing doors, ironmongery, frames, linings and architraves as indicated on the drawings and dispose off site. - Supply and install replacement doors, ironmongery, frames, linings and architraves as detailed on the Drawings, and Specification. - Decorate the new timberwork in accordance with the Specification. - Replacement of fire barriers over replacement doorsets.
