London Borough of Lewisham Building Security Contract

Tender description

The Borough intends to tender a Building Security contract for the provision of locking and unlocking, manned guarding, external patrols, key holding and alarm response to much of the operational estate. These include the Catford complex, community, youth and children's Centre's and Wearside Service Centre's etc. Currently we have manned guarding at 7 properties, external patrols at 1 property, opening and closing at 12 properties and key holding/ alarm response at 49 sites. The successful contractor would also be expected to provide additional ad hoc security arrangements as required. The council is also asking those bidders that are shortlisted to provide a proposal for Guardian service. This is a variant bid and shall be at the Council's sole discretion as to whether the contract is awarded to the successful bidder including or excluding the Guardian service. This contract is being tendered through a restricted OJEU process. There is 2 stages to the process. This is the first stage which requires all interested organisations to complete the PQQ only. The deadline for submitting PQQs is at 12.00 noon on the 7th April 2016. The PQQs received will then be evaluated by the Council and will determine which organisations will be shortlisted and invited through to the second stage.
