Groundworks, Manor Steps, Southbourne

Tender description

The Council seeks Quotes to undertake trenching and groundworks to enable overnight beach huts to be built at Manor steps in Southbourne for Bournemouth Borough Council. The overnight huts will require new power and telecoms lines to be installed from a substation at Boscombe Overcliff Drive, new services to be installed at the Manor steps site and new drainage connections to be made. Footings are required for the overnight huts and refreshment kiosk. The groundworks will take place in October 2016, exact date to be confirmed and the works are to be completed within 4 weeks. Allow for the works to be completed in the following sequence; - Services trenching Manor steps site for water, power and telecoms - Drainage works Manor Steps site and associated Wessex Water drainage connection - Install strip foundations for huts and pad foundations for kiosk - Backfill trenches Manor steps site water/power/telecoms/drainage (resurfacing to be undertaken by others).
