Brief Description of the Works The Pirbright Institute is undergoing a renaissance thanks to significant financial investment from the UK government, via the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC). This funding will contribute to the provision of a new Specific Pathogen Free facility, which will in turn establish The Pirbright Institute as the foremost state-of-the-art institute in the world for fundamental and applied research. Along with this the new facility will work towards Pirbright Mission to promote global health, wellbeing, economic and food security and is a fundamental step within the master plan to enhance The Pirbright Institute as the leading centre of excellence. At Appendix A you will find a short presentation which provides some details on the proposed site layout, elevations and structural design. Industry Day In collaboration with this RFI we will be running an Industry day on Friday 08 April 2016 starting at 10:00 am. The location will be: The Pirbright Institute Ash Road Woking GU24 0NF The Industry day has been arranged to allow potential suppliers the opportunity to have a look at the location for the new building and for us to highlight some of the potential restrictions with working on site. To register your interest, please submit the names of people that wish to attend through the Esourcing Portal. This must be done by Wednesday 06 April 2016 at 14:00 After the Industry Day full details of question and answers will be published as an attachment on the Emptoris system for those unable to attend. Contract Duration The Contract duration is estimated to be for a period of 8 Months however the deadline for completion of the new building is November 2017.
