Tender description

The objective of this project is to collaboratively procure Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services for the four Clinical Commissioning Groups in South Essex which are Basildon and Brentwood, Castle Point and Rochford, Southend on Sea and Thurrock. The expected outcomes of the project are as follows: — Delivery of a high quality, patient focused service that is cost effective, innovative and provides value for money. Provide safe patient transport within suitable and well maintained vehicles; — Delivery of a responsive call centre that will facilitate an assessment of patient need/eligibility and booking where appropriate. — A service that is adaptable to support access by all patients including those who have learning difficulties, are vulnerable, with special needs, whose first language is not English or who have impaired hearing. This may include requests being made by a carer or nominated representative. — Patients are cared for by appropriately trained personnel, supervised by competent persons and supported by appropriate software.
