Tender description

The aim of this contract is to provide a management and maintenance service for properties on five new build developments that have been undertaken by the Council since 2011. This covers 174 existing properties with a possible further 139 to follow during the contract term. The chosen supplier, acting as the Council's management agent, will be responsible for the letting of properties, collection of rents, ensuring that repairs required are carried out and the re letting of properties as required. The supplier will also be responsible for ensuring that tenants comply with their requirements under the tenancy agreement through necessary actions. The Council may negotiate with the managing agent to amend the number and details of the properties covered by this agreement at anytime throughout its life. This may be due to the following but not limited to: - Addition of new properties built under similar schemes - Disposal of properties by sale to tenants The current make up of the properties is that of houses, however future developments may also include other types and styles of residential property.
