Invitation to Tender for Six Schools Kitchen remodelling and replacement • Whiteheath Junior School • Whiteheath Infant School • Hedgewood Primary School • Abbotsfield Secondary School • Heathrow Primary School • Hayes Park Primary School A Ministerial letter announced on 16th October 2014 a £20 million fund available to bid against for specific projects (bid range £2.5k to £250k). The "Universal Infant Free School Meals" funding was made available for Local Authorities to bid for capital projects to improve kitchens and associated facilities (e.g. dining halls) to ensure all infant school age children have access to a free, hot school meal which does not impact on the school curriculum. Hillingdon has been successful in bids for works in 2015/2016 at Whiteheath Junior School, Whiteheath Infant School, Hedgewood Primary School, Abbotsfield Secondary School, Heathrow Primary School and Hayes Park Primary School, for a variety of kitchen remodelling / refurbishment works. The school kitchen's must be fully operational and ready to serve meals at full capacity by the 31st March 2016. The tenderer is to allow in their pricing for ensuring the works are sufficiently resourced to complete by this deadline
