TD1050 Principal contractor for room conversion and refurbishment construction works at Milestone House, Derby

Tenders are invited for works in respect of a principal contractor for room conversion and refurbishment construction works at Milestone House in Derby. Milestone House is currently a 34 bed hostel situated in Green Lane close to Derby City Centre and provides accommodation for vulnerable people on a short term basis. Many of the residents present suffer with substance miss use, drug addiction, health issues which are exacerbated by chaotic and transient life styles. The scheme is to convert various ground floor rooms in to 7 new bedrooms and an en-suite facility, new kitchenette, new accessible toilet, new access door, new fire escape route/doorway and modifications to existing reception area. The successful Supplier is required to carry out necessary elements of design as part of their obligations to provide the works The initial contract period is estimated to be 8 weeks; the contract is estimated to commence 15 February 2016 and expire 15 April 2016 Please note, suppliers wishing to express interest and obtain the documentation, must do so by 15:00 on 07/01/2016. It is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response.
