Beckenham Academy Temporary Modular Accommodation

Tender description

The Education Funding Agency requires a suitably experienced Contractor for the supply and installation of new modular double storey buildings consisting of 12 classrooms and associated toilet and administration spaces. The Contractor will be procured on a two-stage full design and build basis and works will include external landscaping, foundations and alterations to boundary treatments. The target construction programme runs from early May to mid-August 2016. A full planning application is being submitted in December 2015 by the employers Technical Advisors. The Contractor will be expected to provide all required information to support the application determination process. The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the following split: Qualitative assessment (50%) / Quantitative assessment (50%).
